Our staff and volunteers dedicate their lives to serving others. We have women across the US who are passionate about serving our country and supporting women everywhere!
The Valkyrie Foundation began in 2015 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit for women with bleeding disorders, The Women's Bleeding Disorder Coalition. Our founder, Tammy Davenport Treat, married a Navy Veteran and became passionate about serving the veteran population. As a NPO that serves women, the board voted on a name change and mission expansion to include female veterans and wives of veterans and enlisted. The WBDC is now a division of The Valkyrie Foundation and will continue to serve women with bleeding disorders, while TVF is focused on supporting our country's female veteran population.
The Valkyrie Foundation serves unmet needs in specific female populations. Our mission is to provide support, address psychosocial issues and provide tools for female veterans and women with bleeding disorders to thrive in their personal and professional lives.
